The power of the Now
Writing has seemed difficult lately. In fact, everything has seemed difficult lately. I guess I’ve been in a bit of a slump. But today I was open to new ways of being, to gestures of friendship, to happy coincidences of the universe. And after a great pep talk from a friend, I just sat down and started writing again.
I realized afterward — that was so much fun! I really enjoyed being in my imaginary world and reconnecting with my characters — Pepper and Shane and Michael. It was very reassuring and comforting. And I realized that I’ve accomplished more in the past month than I thought I had.
So here’s to the power of now — to just sitting down and connecting with the page.
